Job Description:
Noreas Environmental Services, LLC (NES) has 1 administrative position available on our Environmental Services contract to operate hazardous waste management facilities, including bilge and oily waste, industrial waste and containerized waste for the U.S. Navy in the San Diego Metro area. The work location will be primarily in an operations office setting but will require periodic facility inspections. These positions are not to be engaged in physically handling the hazardous waste materials.

The ideal candidate will be detailed oriented with good communication skills, ability to follow written and verbal instructions and must have the ability to work independently. Working knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office is required. Duties include but are not limited to: reviewing documentation for accuracy and completeness, updating files, answering the phone, scanning and uploading documents, filing, document management and storage, inventorying and ordering supplies.
Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a physical including a drug screening test, background check in order to obtain a government furnished Computer Access Card for use in accessing government computer applications necessary for the position and to gain access to these facilities. Additionally, 40 Hour HAZWOPER certificate is required but can be completed after hire on the employee’s own time. The employee will also complete First Aid/AED Training, 8 hour HAZWOPER refresher, 30 hour OSHA and other training as required for position at the employer’s expense.
